His Excellency Mansoor bin Ebrahim bin Saad Al Mahmoud

His Excellency Mr Mansoor bin Ebrahim bin Saad Al Mahmoud was appointed as Qatar’s Minister of Public Health on 12 November 2024.

As Minister of Public Health, His Excellency oversees all responsibilities of the Ministry of Public Health, including proposing and monitoring the implementation of public health policies and plans; providing and improving public and preventive health services; establishing a high-quality, efficient, and sustainable integrated healthcare system; regulating the practice of medical, allied healthcare, and pharmaceutical professions; organising and overseeing the establishment of private medical, pharmaceutical, and laboratory institutions; and promoting health awareness.

His Excellency has held several prominent positions, including Chief Executive Officer of the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) from September 2018 until His Excellency’s ministerial appointment.  As the CEO of QIA, His Excellency focused the authority’s investment strategy on diversification and on investments aligned with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards.

Previously, His Excellency served as Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Museums; Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Development Bank; and Director of the Investment Affairs Office for H.E the former Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

His Excellency currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Qatar Airways Board of Directors; Chairman of Katara Hospitality; is a member of the Board of Trustees of Hamad Bin Khalifa University; a member of the Qatar Research, Development, and Innovation Council (QRDI); and a member of the Board of Directors of Qatar National Bank (QNB).

His Excellency holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Finance from George Washington University in the United States.
