Meet the Division Chief
Felice Watt, MBBS, FRANZCP
Assalamu Alaykum and hello. My name is Felice Watt and I want to welcome you to Sidra’s perinatal mental health service. As Division Chief, it is my joy and privilege to lead the service. I have been a psychiatrist for over 20 years and the mental health wellbeing of women, their babies and families is my passion. Before coming to Sidra in February 2017, I was Director of Psychiatry at Western Australia’s specialist women’s and children’s hospital, which received patients from diverse cultures and nationalities from a state covering 2.64 million kilometers. I have experience in managing a range of difficulties women may face during pregnancy and the postpartum period including anxiety, depression, and fear of delivery, pregnancy loss and impacts of past trauma. In addition, I have a special interest in assisting women with serious mental illness such as bipolar disorder, a history of postpartum psychosis and schizophrenia with optimizing their mental health during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
