Internal / Acute Care Medicine
During pregnancy, the obstetrics team can provide you with care and medical consultations with the internal/acute care medicine team. Working together, the obstetrics and internal/acute care medicine teams will offer:
- Monitoring and consultations for high risk pregnancies
- Treatment for women who have delivered babies and are in unstable condition
- Assistance to women undergoing gynecological surgeries
- Stabilization and ongoing care for patients in the Women’s Special Care Unit
