Neurology

We explore all possible treatment options, beginning with conservative, non-invasive methods before considering neurosurgical procedures. Our pediatric neurologists serve as consultants to the primary care doctor. Our team can provide your child with the long-term care they need to manage their condition.

Some neurological disorders that can affect children include:

  • Seizures
  • Complex epilepsy
  • Muscular dystrophy and muscle disease
  • Autoimmune disorders of the brain and peripheral nervous system
  • Ataxia
  • Concussion
  • Sleep disorders
  • Spasticity and cerebral palsy
  • Craniosynostosis
  • Neurofibromatosis
  • Tuberous sclerosis
  • Headaches
  • Moyamoya disease
  • Stroke

The Division of Neurology is led by Dr. Khaled Mohamed Zamel. Dr. Zamel is an American board certified child neurologist and clinical neurophysiologist.
