Pediatric Emergency and Urgent Care Services

Severity Level 1-5 treatment for 0-18 year-olds.

Patients are assessed by a highly qualified team of consultants, specialist doctors and nurses according to the Emergency Severity Index (ESI)© and categorized from Level 1-Level 5.

Determining the severity of the patient's condition allows treatment to be prioritized and medications or diagnostic tests ordered accordingly.

Emergency Services (Free of charge)

Examples of the injuries may include:

  • Loss of consciousness
  • Severe trouble breathing
  • Seizures / convulsions

    Urgent Care Services (Paid)

    The Urgent Care, fast track clinics, treat children with non-life threatening illnesses or injuries.

    Urgent Care services are available 8.00 a.m. until 12 midnight daily and walk-ins are accepted. To avoid queuing, please call 4003 3400 to pre-register and our team will schedule an appointment. Our clinics are located within the Pediatric Emergency Department with access to additional pediatric specialist consultation.

    Payment Details

    Fast-track Urgent Care services are subject to a consultation fee, and supplementary charges for tests, medications, and other services apply.

    We accept cash or credit card payments and have direct billing arrangements with Al Koot, Tricare, CISI and QLM. Claim forms are available for other insurance providers.

    The Emergency and Urgent Care division operates 24/7. We have 58 treatment areas staffed by over 70 doctors and 170 nurses, and allied health personnel such as respiratory therapists, social workers, cast technicians, child life specialists, and clinical psychologists.
