Endocrinology
Endocrinology and Diabetes Services at Sidra Medicine
The Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes provides comprehensive care for children and adolescents with diabetes mellitus (all types, including rare ones) and a variety of endocrine disorders related to growth, puberty, thyroid disease, obesity, metabolic bone disease, neonatal and childhood hypoglycemia, adrenal disorders, and disorders of sexual differentiation.
Endocrine disorders result from issues in hormone production or function. Hormones, produced by endocrine glands, travel through the bloodstream to various body parts, each serving specific roles to instruct bodily functions and coordinate activities.
