Saleem Mammoo
Dr. Saleem Kunyil Mammoo is an Attending Pediatric Surgeon at Sidra Medicine, specializing in neonatal surgery and intestinal rehabilitation. He joined Sidra in July 2024 and currently leads the BEAR (Bowel Expansion and Advanced Rehabilitation) Program, which provides cutting-edge care to children with short bowel syndrome. Prior to joining Sidra, Dr. Mammoo served at St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences in India, where he also taught pediatric surgery. He holds an MBBS, DNB in General Surgery, and M.Ch in Pediatric Surgery , and a fellowship in pediatric surgery at Sidra Medicine His clinical interests include bowel lengthening procedures, surgical nutrition, and neonatal gastrointestinal anomalies. He has published extensively in international journals and collaborates with global centers on pediatric intestinal failure. Dr. Mammoo brings over 17 years of experience in pediatric surgery and is committed to advancing multidisciplinary care for critically ill neonates.
