Sidra Medicine Participates in Student Events to Seek and Advance Local Talent

Sidra Medicine announced that it will be taking part in three student career events in November. Sidra Medicine’s participation is aimed at updating the student community about its prestigious scholarship program, training opportunities and to encourage students to consider careers in the healthcare sector.

Sidra Medicine invites students to visit its booths at the following:

  • 22nd November – “Medicine Unlimited” event organized by Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar;
  • 27th November – Open Day at Qatar University;
  • 29th November – University of Calgary Qatar Open Day event.

The three events will offer students a unique opportunity to learn about careers in medicine. Attendees will be invited to apply for the Sidra Medicine Scholarship program where the Outreach team will be on hand to help address questions and share information.

The Open Day at Qatar University will also feature a presentation for Pharmacy and Biomedical students by Sidra Medicine’s Acting Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ziyad Hijazi, who will be discussing his personal journey about discovering his passion for medicine.

Similarly, Sidra Medicine’s presence at the WCMC-Q’s “Medicine Unlimited” and University of Calgary Qatar events aims to introduce students to exciting and diverse career paths open to those interested in joining the organization. Sidra Medicine’s Simulation team will also be on hand at the “Medicine Unlimited” event where students will get a unique opportunity to try some of its world-class simulation equipment for themselves.
