Dr. Abdusamea G. Shabani is the Chair of Radiology and Division Chief of Body Imaging at Sidra Medicine in Doha, Qatar. A highly accomplished Pediatric Radiologist and transformational healthcare leader. Dr. Shabani brings more than 35 years of international experience spanning the United Kingdom and Qatar.

Doctor Shabani’s clinical skillset is exemplary, spanning complex pediatric imaging modalities including MR angiography, Doppler studies, CT imaging of congenital heart disease, and advanced interventional procedures. He brings unmatched expertise in pediatric subspecialties including pulmonology, oncology, nephrology, and cardiology.

In parallel with his clinical and administrative leadership, Doctor Shabani is a highly respected academic, holding an A/Professorship at Weill Cornell Medical College. He is an active research contributor, published author, peer reviewer, and international lecturer, having hosted and spoken at numerous global radiology conferences, including securing Doha as the host city for the 23rd AOSPR Annual Conference in 2025.
