  • About Irshaad

    Dr. Irshaad Shaffeeullah is currently a Senior Attending Physician and Director of the CAMHS outpatient services at Sidra Medicine. He received his medical degree from the Caribbean island of Dominican Republic before eventually completing his adult and child and adolescent psychiatry in New York, USA. Prior to joining Sidra Medicine he was working at Commonwealth Healthcare Center in the Commonwealth of Northern Marianna Islands. Irshaad has over 20 years of experience in the field of psychiatry. He is Diplomate of American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

    Dr. Irshaad completed his residency training from Elmhurst Hospital, New York and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at St. Vincent’s Hospital, New York. He is also Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with subspecialty certification in child and adolescent psychiatry.
     
    Dr. Irshaad worked as an Inpatient unit chief at Interfaith Hospital, NY, US. Later he was the Medical Director at Shafallah Center, Doha, Qatar and then as an Inpatient unit chief, Saipan, USA. 

    Lead, Quality and Safety, Child and Adolescent Mental health Services and senior attending psychiatrist in outpatient setting. 

    Dr. Irshaad is highly experienced in assessing and managing common, rare and complex psychiatric and behavioral disorders of the child and adolescent population. He is also particularly interested in the education of medical students. His clinical interests include autism, anxiety disorders and somatic disorders. 

    Dr. Irshaad is currently leading Quality and Safety Committee and is actively involved in creating the pathways for the safe care of children and adolescents.
