Pediatric Home Visit Program

Care for your child, from the comfort of home

Sidra Medicine’s Pediatric Home Visit Program allows eligible children to receive selected routine healthcare services at home, reducing the need to visit the hospital or clinic for specific appointments.

The program is currently available for existing Sidra Medicine pediatric patients who meet clinical eligibility criteria. It is a self-pay private service.

Services currently available

The Pediatric Home Visit Program currently includes:

  • Well baby and routine pediatric check-ups
  • Pediatric vaccination visits

Sick visits are not currently included in the Home Visit Program.

Eligibility

Home visits are currently available for:

  • Existing Sidra Medicine patients
  • Children with an established medical record with Sidra Medicine
  • Patients who have been reviewed and approved by the clinical team

New patients may request a home visit only after completing an in-person clinic visit, physician assessment, and medical record creation at Sidra Medicine.

Why eligibility review is required

For patient safety, Sidra Medicine’s clinical teams must review each request before confirming a home visit.

This includes checking:

  • Medical history
  • Vaccination history
  • Allergies
  • Previous vaccine reactions
  • Current symptoms or fever
  • Complex medical conditions
  • Recent hospitalization
  • Any other clinical safety concerns

Not all children are eligible for home vaccinations.

Booking process

To request a home visit, families can contact our call center on +974 4003 3333

Once the request is received, the process includes:

  1. Home visit inquiry submitted
  2. Initial screening by the call center or patient access team
  3. Physician review and virtual assessment
  4. Nursing pre-screening
  5. Estimated cost and payment confirmation
  6. Appointment scheduling
  7. Home visit completed

Clinical review and safety

Patient safety is the priority of the Home Visit Program.

A physician will review the child’s medical record, confirm the services or vaccines required, and determine whether the child is suitable for home care. Families may also receive a call from a nurse before the visit to complete additional safety checks.

This may include screening for:

  • Fever
  • Current illness
  • Recent symptoms
  • Travel history
  • Other clinical concerns

Payment and pricing

The Pediatric Home Visit Program is currently a self-pay private service and is not covered by insurance.

Pricing varies depending on:

  • Type of visit
  • Number of services required
  • Vaccines administered

Families will receive an estimated cost and payment instructions before the appointment is confirmed. Payment must be completed before scheduling.

Appointment availability

Home visits are initially available during regular operational hours: Sunday to Thursday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Families may request a preferred date or time; however, final scheduling depends on clinical approval, team availability, and geographic logistics.

At this stage, each child requires an individual review, separate documentation, and a separate scheduling workflow.
