Occupational Therapy

Our occupational therapists help patients from birth to 18 years overcome challenges with everyday activities like dressing, eating, writing, or using adaptive equipment. We assess each child’s strengths and needs, then design evidence-based interventions to improve their physical, emotional, and cognitive capabilities.

Our Services Include

• Assessment: Identifying how a child’s condition may affect their ability to function and determining specific areas for support.
• Treatment Plans: Tailored therapy programs including hand therapy, splinting, postural management, group therapy, and use of assistive equipment.
• Family Support: Equipping parents and caregivers with the strategies and tools needed to help their children succeed at home, in school, and in the community.
• Care Coordination: Collaborating with schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations to ensure consistent support beyond the hospital.
• Discharge Planning: Supporting safe transitions by preparing families and arranging follow-up services where needed.

Where We Work

Occupational therapy is offered in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Our therapists work closely with multidisciplinary teams across neonatology, neurology, rehabilitation, plastic surgery, rheumatology, developmental pediatrics, and orthopedics.

Family-Centered Care

We believe families are essential partners in a child’s care. Our therapists work closely with parents to understand each child’s goals and help integrate therapy into daily routines.
