The Advanced Imaging Core is a leading center for advanced microscopy and translational imaging, positioning Sidra Medicine at the forefront of cellular and molecular discovery in the region.
Recognized by Carl Zeiss AG as a ZEISS labs@location Reference Customer, the core is part of a select global network of institutions shaping the future of imaging science. This designation reflects not only the deployment of cutting edge technologies, but also leadership in collaboration, training, and scientific innovation.
The facility provides a comprehensive platform for cellular, molecular, and structural imaging, supporting applications across diagnostics, translational research, and drug discovery.
It is equipped with a wide range of advanced imaging technologies, including confocal and multiphoton microscopes, super resolution systems, high content screening platforms, automated slide scanners, and spatial proteomics tools. These capabilities enable high resolution imaging of fixed and live samples, functional assays, spatial mapping, time lapse imaging, and 3D reconstruction at exceptional depth and precision.
Beyond access to technology, the core delivers fully integrated support across the imaging pipeline. From experimental design and sample preparation to acquisition strategies and advanced data analysis, the team works closely with researchers to ensure robust, reproducible, and publication ready outputs.
Training and knowledge sharing are central to the core’s mission. Through hands on training, collaborative engagement, and continuous support, the core empowers researchers to fully leverage advanced imaging technologies and translate complex data into meaningful scientific insight.
