Sidra Medicine’s Child Protective Services department is hosting a free online seminar on child abuse and neglect.

Child maltreatment is a serious issue that affects children’s well-being, development, and future. It is crucial for healthcare professionals in Qatar to understand the importance of and the processes for reporting cases of abuse and neglect.

Hosted by experts and physicians from Sidra Medicine, the seminar will highlight the different approaches regarding prevention, intervention and support services and resources available for healthcare professionals in Qatar.
Strengthening the referral process ensures that children receive timely protection and necessary interventions.

Under the leadership of Dr. Rasha Ashour, the symposium unites national stakeholders to highlight prevention, early recognition, people-centered care pathways, and timely access to treatment—ultimately aiming to improve outcomes for patients and their families.
