Omics Core
Working closely with the Clinical Genomics Laboratory is the Omics Core Facility, a centralized platform that supports both internal research programs and global collaborations focused on precision and translational medicine.
The Omics Core ensures high-quality biospecimen processing and offers an expansive range of molecular services that complement the sequencing operations of CGL. These include automated blood fractionation, DNA and RNA extraction from a wide variety of biospecimens, long-read sequencing using PacBio and Oxford Nanopore Technologies, Sanger sequencing, high-throughput qPCR-based assays, and Illumina arrays for genotyping and methylation profiling.
This facility also supports comprehensive biospecimen traceability and storage and iit includes automated storage systems. Beyond its standardized workflows, the Omics Core works closely with investigators to develop customized methods, implement new protocols, and integrate emerging technologies. Its collaborative approach allows for tailored solutions that meet the specific requirements of each project while continuously enhancing service quality and turnaround time.
