Tala Mongid

Tala Mongid is a medical student at Qatar University College of Medicine with a passion for integrating technology, communication, and research to improve healthcare. Her interests lie at the intersection of artificial intelligence, patient education, and data-driven healthcare solutions, particularly in areas such as mental health, maternal and neonatal care, and chronic disease management.

As the Founding President of Qatar Undergraduate Health and Medical Research Association (QUHMRA), Ms. Mongid has led initiatives that promote student engagement in scientific research, while also supporting public education and outreach. She has contributed to efforts that raise research awareness through media coverage, digital content creation, and the promotion of accessible scientific communication.

With a strong background in media and digital communications, Ms. Mongid has leveraged social platforms to amplify public health messages, increase the visibility of research, and promote health literacy. Her work spans visual storytelling, strategic branding, and the development of engaging educational content for healthcare and academic organizations. She combines medical insight with effective communication strategies.

In addition to her academic and leadership roles, she has volunteered in various healthcare settings, including with the Syrian Medical Association in Qatar and national medical boards, and has participated in international youth and health conferences. These experiences reflect her commitment to building bridges between medicine, media, and the public.

Ms. Mongid advocates for the responsible use of social platforms to educate patients, combat misinformation, and strengthen the connection between healthcare providers and the communities they serve.
