Ms. Huda Amer Al-Katheeri

Ms. Huda Amer Al-Katheeri is the Director of Strategic Planning, Performance, and Innovation Department at the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), Qatar. She leads the development, implementation and monitors the performance of the National Health Strategies, and the relevant national programs, policies, frameworks, standards, and guidelines. She leads strategic planning efforts within the ministry, aligning national health priorities with long-term sectoral objectives to guide system transformation. Ms. Huda also drives innovation, oversees strategic investments and forges impactful partnerships to strengthen the health ecosystem in Qatar. In addition, she oversees system performance management to ensure continuous monitoring, evaluation, and improvement of healthcare delivery and outcomes across the health sector. In addition, Ms. Huda led the development and Implementation of National Healthcare Policies and introduced various National Quality and Patient Safety initiatives to ensure the delivery of safe, high quality patient care and best healthcare services across Qatar. Ms. Huda is also leading the development, implementation, and monitoring of MOPH Corporate Strategy.
Ms. Huda is known as a dedicated and enthusiastic healthcare professional with a holistic vision in advancing National Healthcare Strategy, across the system. With her expanding knowledge of healthcare strategy along with her leadership skills, she has created a work environment that achieves the best results through innovation and empowerment. In addition, she is Chair, Co–Chair or active member in various committees where she provides guidance and strategic direction in the State of Qatar, such as NHS Steering Committee, Healthcare Quality Committee, IPC Committee, AMR Committee, Health Sector Policy Committee, Clinical Guidelines and Pathway Committee, Corporate Planning Quality Steering Committee, Government Health Sector Efficiency Taskforce Committee, etc.
Ms. Huda Al-Katheeri holds a “Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Sciences” from University of Qatar, “Master of Science Degree in Medical Microbiology” form London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, University of London, “Master Degree in Quality & Safety in Healthcare Management” from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, and “Institute of Leadership and Professional Diploma: Epidemiology in Action” from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
