Dr. Amal Al-Ali is a highly accomplished healthcare leader, currently serving as the Executive Director of Quality, Innovation and Patient Safety at the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) in Qatar. With a career spanning over two decades, Dr. Al-Ali has made significant contributions to the field of healthcare, particularly in the areas of quality improvement, patient safety, and family medicine.

Dr. Al-Ali holds an impressive array of academic qualifications, including a Certified Professional Doctorate in Healthcare Management with Artificial Intelligence from Nevada University, USA , and an M.Sc. in Quality and Safety in Healthcare Management from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. She also earned an M.Sc. in Health Professions Education from Maastricht University, Netherlands, and is a Certified Improvement Advisor from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), USA .

In her role at PHCC, Dr. Al-Ali has led numerous initiatives aimed at enhancing healthcare outcomes and fostering a culture of safety. She has overseen national and international accreditation processes, process and practice audits, risk management, patient engagement, and performance measurement. Her visionary approach and ability to build strong relationships have enabled her to drive innovative thinking and influence strategic decision-making at a senior executive level.

Dr. Amal’s recent achievements include being appointed as the NHS3 National Lead for Outcome Area 6 and receiving the GCC Medal as the best leader in the ceremony honoring the competencies of the civil service sector and government development (2024).

Her extensive experience in healthcare management is complemented by her role as an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine in Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar. Dr. Amal has also served as a Senior Consultant Family Physician at PHCC since 2009, where she continues to provide exceptional care and mentorship to the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Dr. Amal has also contributed significantly to the academic and healthcare community through her many published research papers. Her work spans various topics, including patient engagement, quality improvement, diabetes management, and healthcare education, and has been featured in numerous reputable journals and conferences.
