Muna Sunni

Dr. Muna Sunni joined Sidra Medicine in November 2024 as a Senior Attending Physician in Endocrinology. Previously, she served as an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology at the University of Minnesota (UMN), USA, for 14 years. Dr. Sunni manages a broad range of endocrine disorders in children, focusing particularly on all forms of diabetes, thyroid conditions (including thyroid nodules and cancer), and childhood obesity. Recognized multiple times as a top doctor in Minnesota, she has also been extensively involved in medical education, continuing to mentor students, residents, and fellows at Sidra Medicine. Dr. Sunni holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Research from UMN and has participated in studies involving type 1 diabetes, diabetes in African populations, and pediatric obesity.
