Overview
The Plastics and Craniofacial Surgery Team Educational Rounds provide a collaborative learning platform for multidisciplinary healthcare professionals involved in pediatric reconstructive and craniofacial care. These sessions highlight recent clinical experiences, surgical innovations, and evidence-based management approaches in pediatric plastic and craniofacial surgery. Through case discussions and shared best practices, participants will enhance their understanding of complex surgical decision-making, patient outcomes, and integrated care pathways for children with congenital and acquired conditions.
Objectives
- Apply the knowledge of pediatric plastic and craniofacial surgery principles to analyze patient cases, interpret imaging and clinical findings, and develop age-appropriate, multidisciplinary treatment plans for congenital and acquired craniofacial and soft tissue conditions.
- Critically evaluate the effectiveness of various reconstructive and craniofacial surgical approaches based on patient-specific anatomical, developmental, and psychosocial factors, integrating current research evidence and awareness of potential complications to support safe and optimal outcomes.
- Synthesize their clinical and surgical knowledge to design innovative reconstructive strategies, develop novel treatment protocols, and propose research initiatives that advance the field of pediatric plastic and craniofacial surgery while improving functional and aesthetic outcomes for patients.
- Learn about improving health service productivity and performance through continual quality improvement collaborative team initiatives.
