Overview

The Pulmonology Division is hosting an Asthma Awareness Day Conference to increase awareness and provide practical asthma management strategies.

The conference objectives aim to improve physician knowledge about asthma pathophysiology and management. Also aim to provide practical knowledge on asthma management strategies.

Objectives

  • Increase awareness and educate participants about asthma, including its symptoms, causes, and triggers, to enhance overall understanding.
  • Provide practical knowledge on asthma management strategies including medication usage, inhaler techniques, and the importance of adherence to treatment plans to promote effective management.
  • Correct common misunderstandings about asthma with precise information and expert advice.
  • Encourage individuals with asthma to take an active role in managing their condition by developing personalized action plans.
  • Highlight the impact of lifestyle factors such as nutrition, physical activity, and environmental control measures to minimize triggers and how to manage the condition effectively.
