Life Support Training Programs

Sidra Medicine has a fully accredited American Heart Association (AHA) Center offering the following courses:

  • Basic Life Support: The BLS instructor-led course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environment, with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics (4 CME points).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support: The PALS instructor-led course teaches and reinforces the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics. The goal is to improve the quality care provided to seriously ill or injured children resulting in improved outcomes (14.75 CME points).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support: This is an advanced course which highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (13 CME points).
  • Neo Natal Resuscitation Program: The NRP course conveys an evidence-based approach to care of the newborn at birth and facilitates effective team-based care for healthcare professionals who care for newborns at the time of delivery. It utilizes a blended learning approach that focus on critical leadership, communication and team-work skills (7 CME points).
