Dr. Sheikh Taha is a Senior Attending Physician in Orthopedic Surgery at Sidra Medicine, with subspecialties in Spine Surgery and Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery. He joined Sidra Medicine in late 2022 and provides both operative and non-operative care for a wide range of pediatric spinal deformities — from adolescent idiopathic scoliosis to complex conditions associated with neuromuscular disorders, genetic syndromes, and congenital malformations.

Dr. Taha received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut (AUB) in 2006 and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery (covering adult, pediatric, and trauma care) at AUB Medical Center in 2013. He then pursued two prestigious fellowships in the United States: a clinical fellowship in Spine and Scoliosis Surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery (Weill Cornell Medical College) in New York in 2013, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery at the Hospital for Joint Diseases (New York University) in 2014.

Before joining Sidra Medicine, Dr. Taha served as an attending physician and Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the American University of Beirut Medical Center from 2015 to 2022, where his clinical practice focused on pediatric spine and orthopedic surgery.
