  • About the Physician

    Dr. Waseemoddin Patel has been a Hospital Neonatologist at Sidra Medicine since June 2022. Before joining, he worked as a neonatologist in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. He completed his MBBS, MD (Pediatrics) in 2011 from India and MRCPCH (UK) in 2015. He received his training in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at McMaster University, Canada (2018-2020).

    As a Neonatologist, he cares for sick newborns with surgical and medical needs. Dr. Patel treats and manages all types of illnesses in newborns and helps parents during their difficult time in the NICU.

    Dr. Patel has a special interest in non-invasive ventilation in neonates and the prevention of IVH in very premature neonates.  He was involved in multiple quality improvement projects and audits at Sidra Medicine.
