    Attending Physician

    I am currently employed at Sidra as an Attending Physician, Adult Anesthesiology. Previously, I had been a Consultant Anesthetist within the National Health Service in the United Kingdom.

    I graduated with an MBBS from the University of the West Indies, Barbados. Post House Officer training I joined the department of Anesthesia. In 2004 I travelled to the UK where I furthered my Training in as an Anesthetist.

    During that time I held several non-clinical posts divided between Quality and Safety, including Audit, and Education.

    My educational roles have included; Educational and clinical supervisor for Foundation Year 2 trainees and Anesthetic trainees. Post graduate teaching at The Royal College of Anesthetists, allied health care professionals and Simulation. I’ve also been privileged to enjoy teaching and learning sessions within antenatal classes. Within Quality and Safety; Trust Appraiser, Clinical Governance Lead and Anesthetic Lead for the Maternity High Dependency Unit.

    My current roles include Adult Acute Pain Lead and member of the Adult Anesthesia Division’s Quality and Safety and Education teams.
