  • About the Physician

    Dr. Diana Bernal Quintero has been a consultant Pediatric and Fetal Cardiologist at Sidra Medicine since 2022.

    Before this, she spent 13 years in the U.K., where she completed her specialist training in pediatric cardiology.  Her training was undertaken at Great Ormond Street Hospital, Royal Brompton Hospital in London, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and John Radcliffe Hospital (Oxford)

    Dr. Quintero has focused her interest on imaging of the heart, fetal cardiology, and advanced echocardiography. She performs fetal echocardiograms throughout pregnancy to detect heart conditions and treat and counsel families accordingly.

    She participates in both acute inpatient and outpatient management of pediatric and adult patients with congenital heart disease.

    Dr. Quintero is committed to teaching fellows, residents, and medical students, participates regularly in pediatric and fetal cardiology teaching workshops and delivers bedside teaching routinely.

    She is currently the Cardiology Quality lead and is working with the cardiology team to ensure excellent care is delivered, and there is continuous improvement with the development of quality improvement projects.
