Amira Mustafa
Dr. Amira Mustafa is a Senior Attending Physician at Sidra Medicine. She joined the hospital in 2017.
Dr. Mustafa specializes in taking care of acute general pediatric problems as well chronic and complex conditions both at the inpatient and outpatient setting. Her fields of interest include respiratory, gastrointestinal, kidney, growth and neurodevelopmental problems in all children.
Being board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and also the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review, Dr Mustafa provides excellent patient centered care and applies the most updated care for her patient at highest international standard level.
Dr. Amira Mustafa started her pediatric training in UK where she worked at Addenbrooke’s hospital in Cambridge and Great Ormond street in London.
Subsequently, she moved to the United States where she joined the Pediatric Residency Training at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Detroit. After completing her residency, she became an Attending Pediatrician at the same institution and then at the Children’s Hospital Medical Center of Akron, Akron, Ohio.
She then moved to the Middle East where she joined the faculty as a Pediatric Consultant at King Fahad Medical City Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and then to Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) in Qatar before coming to Qatar. In addition to her role at Sidra Medicine, she is an Assistant Professor at Weill Cornell Medicine – Qatar.
