Eid Al Adha Timings

Sidra Medicine has announced updates regarding its clinical services during the Eid Al Adha holidays.

The Sidra Medicine Outpatient clinic and its administration and research services will be closed from Thursday, the 30th of July to Thursday, the 6th of August 2020 and will resume regular operations on Sunday, 9th August 2020.

Infusion Services

While the clinics will remain closed, The Outpatient Infusion Center (OPIC) and the Hematology Oncology Outpatient Center (HOOC) will be open during the holidays at regular hours and provide infusion services.

Pharmacy Services

Pharmacy services will be closed during this time. All requests made after Wednesday 29 July will be processed from Sunday the 9th of August onwards.

Patient Supply Store

The Patient Supply Store will be only accepting Website Refill requests from 28 July to 8 August, the request will be available for collection on:

Click here to access the refill form. Patients who have submitted a request, will receive an SMS to confirm collection details. Please note that the telephone lines will not be manned over the Eid holidays.

Emergency Services:

Emergency Services for both Women and Children will remain open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Please continue to call 999 in the event of an emergency as HMC’s Ambulance Service will also remain open.

Women’s Services

The Women’s Obstetrics Triage and Urgent Care service will remain open – 24-hours a day, seven days a week for female patients requiring emergency maternity or gynecology related medical assistance.

While the general outpatient clinic will be closed, the obstetrics high-risk pregnancy clinic will be open on Monday, August 3 from 7.00 am – 3.00 pm.

Children’s Emergency Services

The Children’s Emergency Department will remain open, 24 hours a day, seven days a week for children and young people.

The Fracture clinic will be open on Sunday, August 2 and Monday, August 3, from 7.00 am – 3.00 pm.


Sidra Medicine will continue to accept inpatients 24 hours a day.

In addition to the above we offer a preconception service for women with mental illness or past history of serious mental illness who are planning a pregnancy and seeking advice regarding what medications, treatment and support will help them remain emotionally well.
