- Adult Anesthesia
Dr Kotyra graduated from Silesian Medical School, Wroclaw, Poland. She continued her training by completing Postgraduate Advanced Specialist Training in Anaesthesia in London and was awarded FFARCSI and CCST (UK).
She worked for several years as a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care with a special interest in Endocrine, Hepatobiliary, Gynae-Oncology and Renal transplant surgery at Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College London.
In 2009 Dr Kotyra moved to Abu Dhabi where she joined Al Corniche Hospital. In addition to her clinical work, management of high risk Obstetrics and Gynecology patients, she focused on education and practical approaches to multidisciplinary involvement in the care of critically ill mothers.
Dr Kotyra was appointed Head of Anaesthesia at Danat Al Emarat Hospital in 2014. She was involved in setting up this newly built hospital that included 5 Operating Rooms and 3 bedded level 3 ICU. In addition to her work as a Consultant in Anesthesia and Intensive Care she served as Clinical lead for Anaesthesia at Moorfield Eye Hospital Abu Dhabi.
Dr Kotyra has been working with Sidra Medicine since 2017. She is currently an Adult Anesthesiology Department Lead for Clinical Guidelines and Policies, and Joint Commission Accreditation.
Dr Kotyra’s special interest is in Quality and Safety in Anesthesia. She enjoys swimming, reading and traveling.
