    Senior Attending Physician

After graduating in medicine from the University of Adelaide in South Australia I worked as an intern for my registration year before spending a year as a GP in a remote rural town on the south coast of Australia.

Africa was my chosen destination for nearly 5 years of anesthesia, obstetrics and gynecology before moving to London to train further and gain further qualifications in anesthesia and intensive care.

I returned to Australia to work and study and pass the ANZ fellowship before concentrating on persistent pain as an area of interest and study. My wife and I then moved to Canada for 2 years in our respective fields and then returned to Perth in 1992

Since then I have been involved in the obstetric and gynecological care of women at the only tertiary hospital in Western Australia and started the first public Multi Disciplinary Pelvic Pain Clinic in 2008

The opportunity for my wife and me to be involved in the initiation of dedicated hospital for women and children was too good to ignore.

I have over 40 peer reviewed publications and several book chapters and enjoy teaching at all levels. My outside interests include opera, classical music, golf, cycling and recycling.
