Dr. Talia Collier serves as a Senior Attending Physician in the Department of Pediatric Rehabilitation at Sidra Medicine. She is originally from Los Angeles, California in the United States of America. She graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in Berkeley, CA, USA. She obtained her Medical Degree from the University of Louisville in Kentucky, USA. She pursued her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Emory University in Atlanta, GA USA. Due to her interest in the pediatric rehabilitation population, she completed fellowship training in Pediatric Rehabilitation at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, USA.
Before transitioning to Sidra medicine, she served as Assistant Professor and Attending Physician at Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, USA for 7.5 years. She has experience in treating a variety of disorders that cause physical disability in patients. Her special clinical interests include cerebral palsy, tone management, electromyography, brachial plexus injuries, and spina bifida.
She has an international medicine interest and has participated in medical mission trips to Mexico, Guatemala, and Ecuador to assist children with disabilities with rehabilitation needs. She is a member of the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine and the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. She looks forward to serving the Qatar community to provide healthcare for children with special needs.
