- Adult Anesthesia
Dr Sam Soltanifar qualified in 2002 after undertaking medical school training at the University of Oxford and University College London. He completed his initial anesthesiology training in South London and went on to complete his advanced specialist training on the Oxford Deanery Specialist Registrar training scheme. This included fellowships in Obstetric Anesthesia and Regional Anesthesia.
After completion of specialist training he worked as a Consultant Obstetric Anaesthetist at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford before taking up a post as a Consultant Anaesthetist at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals in Surrey. Where he provided anesthesiology services for a wide range of adult and pediatric surgical specialities, becoming the lead anaesthetist for the hospital’s bariatric surgery service. His keen interest in teaching and training led to his appointment as co-director of the hospitals’ Medical Simulation team for four years.
He took up his current appointment as an Attending Physician at Sidra medicine in 2017. He has also been appointed Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology at Weill Cornell Medicine, Qatar.
