    Senior Attending Physician, Lead for Neonatal Neurocritical Care, Deputy Division Chief, Neonatal Clinical Research

    Dr Robertson graduated in1988 from Edinburgh Medical School, UK. Her initial pediatric training was in Edinburgh and Melbourne pediatric cardiology in the Royal Hospital for Sick Children and neonatology at Monash Medical Centre. In 1993 Dr Robertson returned to London to complete her pediatric training at Guys Hospital, GOSH and St George’s Hospital.

    In 2003, Dr Robertson was appointed as Assistant Professor of Neonatology at UCL and Consultant Neonatologist, UCLH. In 2012, Dr Robertson was awarded a Personal Chair at UCL as Professor of Perinatal Neuroscience. Dr Robertson has published over 180 original papers, has an h-index of 26 and Researchgate score of 43.62. She has supervised 16 MD/PhD students. Over the last 10 years, Dr Robertson has received >£12 million research grant funding as principal investigator (mainly MRC). She is internationally known as an expert in neonatal neurocritical care and neuroprotection and regularly invited as a speaker to conferences around the world.

    Dr Robertson held the position of European Lead for Brain and Development from 2005-2010 and Neonatal Society UK General Secretary 2006-2010. In 2013 she was awarded the Royal Society Research Merit Award and in March 2015 the UK Neonatal Society David Harvey Senior Fellowship for improving the well-being of underserved populations through high-quality research.
