Dr. Alamri graduated from the Arabian Gulf University – Bahrain in 1995 after which he joined Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) in the State of Qatar. He completed a one-year internship at Hamad General Hospital in 1997 and in the same year, he joined the Pediatrics Residency training program. He became a Senior Resident in General Pediatrics in 2004. After completing the residency, he did three-year fellowship training in Pediatric Emergency in HMC. Dr. Alamri then worked as a Specialist in Pediatric Emergency and in 2009 became an Acting Consultant for a year. In 2010, he advanced to being a Consultant and held that position for five years. From 2015, Dr. Alamri has been a Senior Consultant in Pediatric Emergency.
Dr. Alamri is currently the Assistant Director of Pediatric Emergency Centers (PEC) at Hamad Medical Corporation. He takes full responsibility of the clinical and administrative aspects of all PECs in the absence of the Director of PECs. He is the Chief Physician who manages and oversees the consultants, specialists and clinical fellows, and duty roster and mentorship for residents as well as the interns from Pediatrics, Family Medicine and Emergency and also students from Weill Cornell and other prestigious universities.
Dr. Alamri was awarded by HMC the Star Practice Award Stars of Excellence in October 2011, Guiding Stars of Excellence in October 2011, Stars of Excellence in Health Performance Category in October 2012, Stars of Excellence Research Category in November 2013 and 2017.
