Junior Attending, Pediatric Anesthesia
Irish graduate from the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2005. Trainee surgeon for two years prior to switching to anesthesia training with the College of Anesthetists of Ireland. Obtained his CCST (Certificate of Completion of Training) in Anesthesia in July 2015.
Dr Meela did a 1 year Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship in The Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Glasgow, Scotland in the UK, which included 3 months of Pediatric Critical Care (ICU) from August 2015 – July 2016. He then moved to Alderhey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool to practice as a Consultant Pediatric Anesthetist from August 2016 – November 2017. He Joined Sidra Medical and Research Centre in December 2017.
Dr Meela is a great enthusiast of ultrasound guided regional anesthesia, difficult airway management and simulation in medical training. He holds Fellowships in Advanced Airway management and Simulation, and He is a current Fellow of the College of Anesthetists in Ireland.
