Isaac Babarinsa had postgraduate training in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, rising to Consultant positions in both. He was awarded a World Health Organisation Research Training Grant in 1998, and obtained a Master’s Degree in Reproductive and Sexual Health Research from the University of London thereafter.
Before coming to Sidra, he was Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Gloucestershire Royal Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, RCOG Tutor for the hospital and Editorial Adviser to ‘Obstetrics, Gynecology and Midwifery Product News’ Journal.
He is currently Associate Editor: Biomedical (BMC) Women’s Health Journal On-line and peer-reviewer for the RCOG Green-top Guidelines, European Journal of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology International, BMJ Point of Care on-line, Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Research, Journal of Medicine Science and Law, Drugs and Therapeutics Bulletin and Vaccine amongst others.
He has over 30 publications in peer-reviewed medical journals and at least 15 conference abstracts. He co-authored the chapter on Pulmonary Diseases in Pregnancy in the textbook on ‘Obstetric Care’, published by Cambridge University Press.
