Francis Lannigan MB,ChB; MD; FRCSEng & Ed(ORL); FRACS has over thirty years’ experience in his specialty. He trained in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery in the UK and Western Australia. He completed research for a Doctorate Thesis at the University of Western Australia where he was a Clinical Professor.
He was Consultant and past Head of Department at Princess Margaret Hospital for Children
He has over 60 publications in peer reviewed literature.
He is Past President of the Australasian Society of Paediatric Otolaryngology. He is Past Chair of the Clinical Staff Association and Medical Advisory Committee at Princess Margaret Hospital for Children.
He is Past Chair of the Western Australian Training Committee in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and is Past Chair of the Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery of The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He is past Western Australian State Chair, and National Secretary, of The Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery.
He is Chair of the Non-Technical Skills Group at the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.He was the 2014 recipient of the Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Medal for Distinguished Contribution to the Art and Science of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, and the 2016 recipient of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Medal.
