    Dr. Grasso graduated from the University of Milan Medical school in Italy. After graduation he joined the residency program in Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine at the same institution. During residency Dr. Grasso received a formal training in basic science working as a research fellow in the Critical Care and Lung biology program at the Hospital for the Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.

    In order to receive a specific and advanced training in Pediatric Anesthesia and Critical Care Dr. Grasso joined, as a clinical fellow, for two years the Department of Pediatric and Cardiac Critical Care and for one year the Department of Pediatric Anesthesia at the Hospital for the Sick Children In Toronto, Canada.

    After completion of his additional training in pediatric anesthesia and critical care in 2011, Dr. Grasso moved back to Italy where he worked as Consultant Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist and Intensivist at the Bambino Gesu’ Hospital in Rome for one year before obtaining, in 2012, a Consultant position as pediatric cardiac Anesthesiologist and Intensivist at the Giannina Gaslini Institute in Genova.

    In November 2017 Dr. Grasso joined Sidra medicine as a Senior Attending Physician in Pediatric Anesthesia. He has also been recently appointed as Assistant Professor in Clinical Anesthesia at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar.

    Dr. Grasso major research interest are non-conventional mechanical ventilation, lung mechanic and cardiopulmonary interactions. Clinically his major focus is on Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia with special interest respiratory physiology and neuro-monitoring.
