Dr. Kidwai has a comprehensive experience of 16 years in Obstetrics and Gynecology with a special interest in high risk Obstetrics, Outpatient/ Diagnostic Gynecology, Early Pregnancy and Acute Gynecology and USS, Diabetes in Pregnancy, Guidelines and Risk Management, Simulation and Medical Education.
Dr. Kidwai had the privilege of leading the care for Sidra Medicine’s first normal delivery in February 2018. She manages Obstetric patients in the Antenatal Clinic in Sidra OPC and Combined Diabetic/Endocrine Antenatal Clinic with the Consultant Endocrinologist to provide multidisciplinary care to our clients in one convenient sitting. In the Gynecology clinic, she is trained to perform both abdominal and transvaginal pelvic Ultrasound scans if required to provide optimum care and increase client satisfaction.
She is an Associate Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Weill Cornell Medicine in Qatar and is actively involved in teaching and supervision of medical students from WCMQ at SIDRA hospital and WWRC. She is a member of JCI Committee for Medical Education at Sidra Hospital, member of faculty of Sidra’s state of the art Simulation Centre and the Sidra Research team.
Dr. Kidwai has had advanced training in Advanced Labor ward Practice, Acute Gynecology & Early pregnancy & Ultrasound modules, and obtained her CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) from the West of Scotland Deanery, UK. She set up an exclusive Simulation Training Program at Royal Alexandra Hospital and framed OSATs (Objective Structured Assessment Tools) on Obstetric and Gynecological emergencies. She has organized and conducted the multidisciplinary PROMPT (PRactical Obstetric Multi-Professional Training) courses twice a year at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, and has trained Consultants, Specialist Registrars, Anesthetists and midwives.
Dr. Kidwai is an accredited Tier 2 Medical Educator in postgraduate OBGYN Medical Education and Training, certified by the Faculty of RCOG Medical Educators UK, and has an active interest in mentoring and simulation, conducted mock OSCE exams for medical students and also authored a post MRCOG level interactive online STRAT OG Module for the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, London.
