Senior Attending Physician
Dr. Amira Mustafa graduated from the Faculty of Medicine University of Khartoum, Sudan.
She started her pediatric training in UK where she worked at Addenbrooke’s hospital in Cambridge and Great Ormond street in London.
Subsequently, she moved to the United States where she joined the Pediatric Residency Training at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Detroit.
After completing her residency, she became an Attending Pediatrician at the same institution and then at the Children’s Hospital Medical Center of Akron, Akron, Ohio.
She then moved to the Middle East where she joined the faculty as a Pediatric Consultant at King Fahad Medical City Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Currently, she is a Senior General Pediatric Consultant at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) in Qatar.
She is also an Assistant Professor at Weill Cornell Medical University.
At HMC, she plays a prominent role in Quality and Patient Safety mission by leading, mentoring and coaching other clinicians in various quality improvement projects.
She has published some of her work in the BMJ Quality Improvement Reports.
She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and also the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review.
