Dr. Salem is the Head of Inpatient and Emergency Pharmacy Services at Sidra Medicine, With over 20 years of experience in Clinical pharmacy, Operations, Medication Safety, Quality Improvement, Accreditation & Healthcare leadership.

He plays a key leadership role in advancing Pharmacy services and overall Medication Management practices and accreditation readiness at Sidra Medicine, aligning institutional practices with JCI standards and international best practices

He is actively a member of the advisory board for the Pharmacy Technology Program at the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST). He also serves on several high-level committees and work groups at Sidra Medicine, supporting strategic initiatives, quality improvement, and patient safety programs.

Dr Salem relocated from the United States to Qatar in 2018 to join Sidra Medicine’s Pediatric Critical Care clinical pharmacy team, he holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Idaho State University and maintains multiple professional certifications in Clinical pharmacy, Projects Management and Healthcare quality.
