
Engineer Saad Al Muhanadi
Saad Al Muhanadi currently serves as Vice President of Capital Projects for Qatar Foundation (QF) for Education, Science and Community Development. In this role, he is responsible for the physical development of Education City, a 14 million square meter campus on the outskirts of Doha that currently claims five branch campuses of prestigious US universities, with more on the way. Mr. Al Muhanadi also oversees the development of various other multi-million dollar Education City projects including Qatar Science and Technology Park, a new convention center, and Sidra Medical and Research Center, to name a few.
With more than 10 years of distinguished service at QF, Mr. Al Muhanadi rose to his current position after serving in a series of leadership and managerial positions in the Capital Projects Department. He began as a Project Manager in 1995, moving up to Assistant Director in 1999, and to Director shortly thereafter in 2000. He assumed his current post in 2005.
Prior to his work at QF, Mr. Al Muhanadi served in various managerial positions at the Qatar Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture. There he developed guidelines and regulations for urban development throughout Qatar as Head of the Design Development Section from 1993-95. Before this he served as Assistant Head (1987-90) and then Head (1990-93) of the West Bay Planning Unit, overseeing all planning activities for the West Bay area, one of the most desirable residential areas in Doha.
