Dr. Boama started his Obstetrics and Gynecology obtained his medical degree from Groote Schuur Hospital, University of Cape Town, South Africa. He later moved to the United Kingdom in 2004 to further his practice and returned to South Africa where he was awarded a Master’s degree in Maternal Medicine in 2005 by the University of Cape Town for his research project on thrombophilia in pregnant women in South Africa.
Prior to joining Sidra, he worked as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals in Essex as well as Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the University hospital of Wales in Cardiff all in the United Kingdom. His clinical expertise has been in running diabetic, hematology and other high risk Obstetric clinics in his previous consultant posts. He has also been consultant on Labor and delivery suite and gynecology emergency in these hospitals. He has expertise in benign general gynecology. Dr Boama currently co-leads the Joint Diabetic Antenatal clinics at an HMC Hospital, Al Wakra Hospital in Doha, Qatar.
