Dr. Rosalie Tassone is Vice Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology, as well as Division Chief for Pediatric Anesthesiology. Her role at Sidra will be to focus on organizing the delivery of Anesthesia Services and Perioperative Care to pediatric patients. In addition to patient care, she plans to develop an educational curriculum for Weill Cornell students and resident physicians, to develop a fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Sidra, and to develop the application of acupuncture in Qatar.
Prior to joining Sidra she was Associate Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology at the University of Illinois at Chicago (USA). At the University of Illinois, she served as Division Chief of Pediatric Anesthesiology and Program Director for the Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology, and also founded the Medical Acupuncture Service for both pediatric and adult patients. She also served as Chief of Anesthesia at Shriners Hospital for Children – Chicago (USA).
In her free time Dr. Tassone loves to tinker in the kitchen as a cook and travel.
