Dr. Nady E. Nady-Mohamed is the Division Chief-Gynecology at Sidra Medical and Research Center. He Joined Sidra in November 2014. In addition to his role at Sidra, Dr. Nady is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Weill Cornell Medicine – Qatar.
Dr. Nady will be responsible for leading Sidra’s gynecology unit to ensure the delivery of a high standard of patient and family-focused care. He will also oversee the implementation of a team-based approach for surgical management. As a senior consultant at Sidra, he will be involved in all aspects of gynecological care including patient clinical services, operating times and post reproductive medicine. Dr. Nady is a strong advocate for introducing a minimally invasive surgery center for various female disorders.
Before joining Sidra, Dr. Nady was the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clerkship Director for the inaugural class at Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar. While at Cornell, Dr. Nady received many awards in the teaching and medical fields. Most recently he has been the recipient of the Humanism in Medicine Award, Excellence in Teaching Award, and The Senior List Award.
Prior to that, Dr. Nady worked at UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School where he was an Assistant Professor and was later appointed as Associate Residency Director and the Chief of Gynecological Surgery. Dr. Nady is also a founding member of the Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery Center at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He taught residents and medical students at UMDNJ from 2000-2006.
Dr. Nady began his career at Columbia University, Harlem Hospital Center, and then moved to DOCS Ob/Gyn Group in New York in 1996.
Dr. Nady completed his residency training in general obstetrics and gynecology at the State University of New York at Buffalo Graduate Medical/Dental Education Consortium in 1996. In 1992 he completed a one year post-reproductive fellowship SUNY Buffalo.
