Erin Ruth Valentine, PsyD joins Sidra from Northwest ADHD Treatment Center in Portland, Oregon where she held the positon of Child Psychologist. Dr. Valentine completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University in California. She completed internship training in child, adolescent, and infant mental health at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, where she also completed Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (LEND) training through University of Southern California University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities.
Dr. Valentine was a Psychology Fellows at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC where she received specialized training in early childhood assessment and treatment of developmental disabilities.
Dr. Valentine’s primary clinical interests include Developmental Disabilities, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Infant Mental Health and attachment, psychological assessment, and preemie follow-up care. She works with children and families to address academic, behavioral, and developmental concerns. Dr. Valentine values collaborative work with parents and the professionals in children’s lives. She has practiced clinically in variety of settings including: schools, hospitals, community mental health organizations, and developmental centers. Dr. Valentine takes a holistic approach to treating children, seeking to optimize each child’s unique positive qualities to help every child reach his or her full potential. Dr. Valentine utilizes therapeutic techniques that are informed by research and shaped by each child’s culture and individual experiences.
Dr. Valentine is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and licensed psychologist in the United States in Washington, DC and Oregon.
