Dr. Antoniou trained at Guy’s & St Thomas’s Hospital Medical School, London University , holds a BSc from King’s College London University and a PhD from the Hunterian Institute, Royal College of Surgeons London in Autoimmune disease.
He did his Medical training on the North Thames Rotation including the Royal London, St Bartholomew’s and the University College London Hospitals. He has been Lecturer in Immunology at the Medical School Manchester University and Senior Lecturer in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Barts & the London Medical school, Queen Mary College, and at London University. He is trained in Advanced Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic Surgery, Urogynecology, in addition to being an experienced Obstetrician. Prior to joining Sidra he was Clinical Lead for Obstetrics & Gynecology at Newham University Hospital, Barts’ Health Trust London.
He has been on the editorial boards of MIMS Women’s Health journal, MOJ Women’s Health, International Archives of Obstetrics & Gynecology and is a regular reviewer for BJOG. With over 23 years of experience, he is currently Medical Director for Research, & Senior Attending Physician in OBGYN, Sidra Medical & Research Center and Assistant Professor Clinical Obstetrics & Gynecology Weill Cornell Medical College.
