Dr. Aisha Ahmad Yousuf is an Obstetrics and Gynecology attending physician at Sidra Medical and Research Center. She graduated from Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar (WCMC-Q) and was from the inaugural class of Weil Cornel Medical College-Qatar. Following medical school, she joined the Pelvic Floor Research Group at the University of Michigan Hospital in the United States where she resumed her residency.
Her research interests focused on pelvic floor disorders and anatomy, 2-D and 3-D modeling of pelvic floor, and medical and surgical education. She has several peer-reviewed publications and has presented at multiple scientific conferences including the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons, American Urogynecology Society (AUGS), and the Association of Processors of Gynecology and Obstetrics/Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology. After finishing her residency program in June of 2013, she joined the Sidra Medical and Research Center in Qatar.
Dr. Yousuf contributed significantly to multiple baseline projects to establish the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Sidra. In January 2015, she then started a Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship at the University of Toronto with the plan to return to Sidra Medical and Research Center.
